Spirit of EOS

How do you see yourself today and in the future?  How do we see ourselves and the place we live now and over time? The Spirit of EOS is about what can be perceived can be achieved.  Here, wisdom from spiritual traditions, inspiring leaders and sages are gathered to fuel the generation and recognition of wholeness, interconnectedness, and a living earth (Gaia).  If we keep our Eye On Sustainability - both in thought and action - it shall come to be.

White Tara of Buddhism

White Tara has seven eyes, the third eye located on her forehead and the other four on the palms of her hands and soles of her feet.   These eyes allow her to look upon beings in every realm of the existence with clear sighted wisdom and heart felt compassion. White tara is specifically associated with the practices designed to lengthen one's life span and overcome life-threatening hindrances.  Project EOS in a given place, such as the Bay Area region, is about extending the "vitality" of the region over time and removing barriers to a sustainable Bay Area.  With White Tara in mind we can see our way there.

First cycle

Reflective Consciousness - divine light hovering, being mirrored

Third cycle

God seeing godself being birthed in the earth

Sixth Cycle

God seeing godself in all creation

A set of prayers to bring this consciousness to being are found in the Hisboneneut Meditation. It is truly about immersing one's mind a way of thinking to achieve a way of being.

The Prayer of St. Francis of Assis from Christianity

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
    Where there is injury, pardon,
    Where there is doubt, faith,
    Where there is despair, hope
    Where there is darkness, light, and
    Where there is sadness, joy.

    O Divine Master, grant that I
    may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
    To be understood, as to understand;
    To be loved, as to love;

    For it is in giving that we
    receive --
    It is in pardoning that we are
    pardoned;
    And it is in dying that we are
    born to eternal life.

What could be more sustainable then eternal life?
